What we store
When you sign in with Google we store your name, email address, and profile picture. That is the whole of it. We do not ask for, or receive, anything else from your Google account.
A shared account with owlect
BardRoll and owlect.app are run by the same person and share one account system and one database. Signing in to either signs you in to both. If you already have an owlect account, BardRoll uses that same record rather than creating a second one.
Playing on this device, without an account
BardRoll can be played with no account at all. In that mode your bards, their spells and your settings are stored only in this browser, using its own local storage. None of it is sent to us and none of it reaches our servers, so we cannot see it, back it up, or restore it. It is gone if you clear this browser's site data, use a different browser, or use a different device.
Deleting what is on this device
Because that data never reaches us, only you can delete it. Use “Forget this device” on the account screen, or clear this site's data in your browser. If you later sign in and choose to copy those bards to your account, the copy is covered by everything else in this policy - and the copy left on the device stays until you remove it.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. It is scoped to owlect.app and its subdomains so that a single sign-in covers both apps. Playing on this device sets one more, which records nothing but the fact that this browser plays without an account, so that opening the app does not send you to a sign-in page you already declined. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on BardRoll.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. Your spells and rolls are yours.
Deleting your data
Email support@owlect.app and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. Because the account is shared, this removes your owlect data too - say so if you only want the BardRoll side removed. This covers data held on our servers; anything stored only in your browser is deleted by you, as described above.
