About BardRoll

BardRoll is a small tool for one job: making a bard's turn feel like a performance instead of a number.

At most tables the bard casts, rolls, and reads the modifier out loud. The mechanics work, but nothing is performed. The one class defined by making music is the one class whose music never actually happens.

BardRoll fills that gap. You pick the spell you are casting and the instrument you carry, then either roll in the app or type in the number you just rolled at the table. What comes back is a short performance - words and a melody - written to match all three.

The roll is the interesting part. It does not grade the result, it picks a register. A high roll writes something the party will quote for the rest of the campaign. A low roll writes something funky in a language nobody knows, and that is just as good a turn.

It is free, and it works on the phone already in your hand at the table.
